Burning Guitar - Oh So Rock n Roll
As an idea to give closure to our short film we thought of using an image of a burning guitar this works because you see the vagrant playing a guitar all the way through the film here are the photos:
i had a broken guitar in the garage so i thought, it was a nice idea to add another level to our film , i took these photos while i was burning the guitar, there was a break in the weather so i could do it without smoking out the village!!
and before you brick yourself, i took health and safety into account, i had a bucket of water close, and i also had a hose just encase, the fire was not allowed to get out of control and no flammable fuels or aerosols were used!!

As i'm nowing stressing even more about this coursework i thought (& was told) to reflect on what we've already filmed and how it went. Obviously from the previous blog posts our initial filming didnt go too well, so ultimately this lead to the refilming that occured this weekend.
I was extremely happy about how this all went, as we structured and filmed it according to the storyboard. Our actors were very committed and gave up their weekend. The lighting and weather were perfect as it was a bright day, which gave us a clear mise en scene.
Our costumes were also changed and made alot more realistic, for the vagrant he wore tracksuit bottoms, an old coat, fingerless gloves, a hat etc. He also has many props which added to his charcter and emphasised his lifestyle such as; his sleeping bag and guitar.
On the other hand, for our businessman he was dressed in a suit, with a 'slick' shirt and tie combo. His props also emphasised on his lifestyle in conparison to the vagrant, such as; a blackberry and mercedes.
Finally, if worst comes to worst I have booked a camera this weekend to see if we can attempt to sort this mess out!

crisis
we've just uploaded our film on to the mac after a successful weekend of filming to find our footage has taken 'drop out'. This is where one frame has fallen into another frame, causing a lined effect with the different frames. This obviously is a massive blow to our coursework due to the deadline approaching very quickly. This is caused by a fault in the tape, which can occur over the slightest of things due to the tape being so delicate. Even though we have looked after the tape with great care this fault could be caused from something so little such as a magnet.
obviously, this is going to majorly effect alot of things so we're going to try and sort this out with our teachers asap! arghhhhhhhh.

Audience Profiling

This is Erin Wilson, she is 19 years old, and is an over seas student from San Franciso, studying Film Studies at London Metropolitan University. She is currently living in London and enjoying the British lifestyle - except the weather! Erin has many interests, such as; music, art, going out to eat, drawing, fashion, photography, horscopes and all things vintage! She is also starting to use the British lingo by telling me she dislikes 'chavs', mainstream pop, swearing, labels, disorganisation and fast food. When i asked what her ambitions would be she told me 'i'd love to get a first in my degree, and be able to get a start in the film industry proffessionally'. Erin also added that she would love to travel all around the world and volunteer in LED countries. Her taste in music varies from new bands such as Delphic and Biffy Clyro to the prestigious Bob Dylan. Erins variety in music also links to her media consumer habits. She confessed she loves NME TV, MTV TWO, FILM 4 and E4 as it allows such a range of music and television. The magazines she would mostly likely pick up, would be Vogue, NME and occassionally O.K (only if the front cover catches her eye!). Being an Film Student, Erin is a regular down at her local cinema and arts centre. Her favourite genre is short film because she just thinks it's more 'edgy and raw'.
