Audience Profiling - Margaret Davies

This is Margaret Davies, she is a 56 year old woman from the Midlands, she has been a part time humanities teacher at her local high school for 30 years. Margaret is religious and goes to a Baptist church every Sunday, in her spare time she volunteers for charities such as Shelter, and works in a charity shop part time on a Saturday, this is because she is preparing to retire but would still like to keep active. Her hobbies include cooking, reading and sewing, she also enjoys spending time with her family and taking care of her grand children. Margaret and her husband John have a static caravan in the Peak District which they regularly visit, she enjoys hiking and being around nature, in her spare time she also walks her pet dog to keep fit and healthy. Her musical taste is quite varied, she enjoys songs from her youth, such as the Dreamboats and Petticoats album, motown, Frank Sinatra, Classical music. She has also just started listening to Michael Buble. Margaret aims to make a difference with her volunteering, and looks up to politian Tony Benn. Margaret reads the Guardian. Athough she doesnt get around to watching much tv, her favourite television channels are bbc1, bbc2 and bbc4, particularly the Antiques Roadshow and Songs of Praise, she also enjoys channel 4 Dispatches programmes as well as the Secret Millionaire.
