Short Films, Ryan

I also watched a 10 minute drama shot in monochrome colours, called "Ryan" They black and white changed the style of the peice and made it seem more arthouse and stand out from the croud. Ryan is a boy as a young teenager finds himself bored within a "satelite" town in england. the first 2 minutes sets the scene and defines the character within the text. it shows a young teenager playing around with a broken bottle and scraping names into the dirt on a railway bridge. the wayward teen then walks onto and estate. some of the montages and sets of shots before this are inspirational i like the way to symbolise him walking they didn't just follow his feet but him dragging a twig along metal rails. At the start this showed his personality ideosycrocies but possibly that he was nervous about what was to come this tension is good for a short film, to evoke emotion in the audience, which is one of my key aims. they film also raises questions between the ages clashes or differences between young and old.

I reckon that enough i am going to check out youtube for more :P!
